STATE TENNIS: Charter's Hepworth advances to 3A boys singles final

Oskar Hepworth, a junior from Coeur d'Alene Charter, advanced to the state 3A boys singles championship match with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Will Moss of Ririe at Ridgevue High in Nampa on Friday.

Hepworth will face Hayden Ankenbauer of Parma in today's final.

Coeur d'Alene Charter's boys are second in the 3A standings with 11 points.

In the 5A tournament, Connor Judson of Coeur d'Alene remains in the consolation bracket following a three-set win over Luke Rodel of Idaho Falls.

In 4A, the Lakeland boys doubles team of Brady Hanna and Cole Andres remained in the consolation bracket with a three set win.
