Lost in the '50s car show fans look over a 1966 Corvette owned by Charles Mooney of Silverton as the homage to all things '50s and '60s made its return to the streets of downtown Sandpoint on Saturday.
I grew up in the Tri-Cities, Wash., and have always loved to write. I attended the University of Washington, where I earned a double major in journalism and political science, with an area of emphasis in history. I am the fifth out of six kids — don't believe any of the stories that my siblings tell. To be able to tell others stories and take photos for a living is a dream come true — and I considered myself blessed to be a community journalist. Lightning-sparked wildfires burn in area
Weekend thunderstorms sparked several new wildfires across North Idaho, including the Parker Lake, Pyramid and Canyon Lake fires. Crews continue work on the 4,442-acre Upper Smith Fire and the Porcupine Fire near Clark Fork as extreme fire danger and regional fire restrictions remain in effect.
