COEUR d’ALENE — Funding 24 regional nonprofits, Numerica Credit Union distributed more than $300,000 through the 2022 Numerica Charitable Fund.
The annual grant is awarded to organizations that foster education, support women and children and work to end hunger and homelessness. Funds will go toward transportation, housing and food banks.
In North Idaho, Idaho Youth Ranch received $20,000, CDAIDE got $12,500 and Tesh, Inc. received $7,500.
“Idaho Youth Ranch is beyond appreciative of our partnership with Numerica and our shared passion to help the youth and families in our communities thrive,” said Amy Evans, Idaho Youth Ranch vice president of programs. “The support from Numerica helps us heal the trauma many of our youth are facing and allows us to build the path towards hope and resilience.”
The Numerica Charitable Fund is funded by Numerica members through Skip a Pay, a voluntary program available on certain qualified loans. Members are allowed to bypass a monthly loan payment once every six months for a $30 fee, which is contributed to the fund to support community nonprofits.
“Numerica is proud to support organizations that show up for our most vulnerable community members when times are tough,” said Carla Cicero, Numerica president and CEO.
