OMAK — Colville Gaming, which runs three 12 Tribes Colville Casinos in Central Washington, announced last week that it has signed a deal with slot machine, software maker and gaming specialist IGT to provide sports betting at the tribes’ casinos.

“Thanks to IGT we feel confident in our ability to provide our guests with an exciting and secure sports betting environment, and we look forward to opening our doors to sports enthusiasts soon,” said 12 Tribes Colville Casinos COO Tony Posey in a press release.

Gov. Jay Inslee signed a bill in March 2020 legalizing sports betting on all of the state’s 29 federally recognized Native American tribes in Washington. 12 Tribes Colville Casinos operates the 12 Tribes Lake Chelan Casino in Manson, the 12 Tribes Omak Casino Hotel in Omak, and the 12 Tribes Coulee Dam Casino in Coulee Dam.

No time frame was given when sports betting would be available at the 12 Tribes Colville Casinos.

The price of shares in Providence, R.I.-based IGT rose 4.3% in regular trading on Friday to finish the day at $21.93 per share. In March, IGT said in its 2021 annual report that total revenue for 2021 rose 31% to $4.1 billion when compared with 2020 revenue, and the company posted a net profit of $607 million for 2021 compared with a loss of $839 million in 2020.
