Her love of Jesus was evident in the way she lived and treated others! Donna Cofield, 84, went to join her loving husband, Glenn, in heaven Oct. 28, 2022. Donna was born Aug. 14 in Consort, Alberta, to parents George and Dorothy Virgo. She graduated as a practical nurse from Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta. Donna met the love of her life, Glenn, while in Claresholm, Alberta. The two married Nov. 1, 1958, and moved to the Coeur d’Alene area shortly after, where she worked at Sacred Heart and Lake City Hospital.

Donna enjoyed family, friends, golfing, bowling, gardening, curling, ice skating and church at Mountain Lakes Bible. She was also a member of the Eagles since 1965. Saved and baptized, she was ready for her journey to be with the Lord.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, parents and brother John Virgo. She is survived by her sister, May McBain and sister-in-law Tina Virgo. Daughters: Penny (Scott) Hattenburg, Cheryl (Dave) Simonson, Diane (Mike) Ferguson. Grandchildren: Bryce (Mattie) Hattenburg, Brenna (Noel) Aspiras, Eric (Megan) Simonson, Kendall Simonson, Jerad Hastings, Katrina (Mark) Green, KerriAnn (Quan) Busby, Dr. Zachary (Zachary Muscavitch) Ferguson. Great-grandchildren: Wade and Ryan Hattenburg, Emerson and Cohen Aspiras, Parker, Addison, and Reagan Green, Ariah, Abella, and AJ Busby; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to attend a service Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and a celebration of life will follow in the spring at Mountain Lakes Bible Church the end of May 2023.
