I just received the Kootenai County Republican Party Voters Guide for recommended candidates, amazed to see Bela Kovacs as a recommended candidate for assessor. That’s a slap in the face to all Republicans in this county.

With the no confidence statements of many longtime employees of that office and the commissioners reducing Mr. Kovacs’ salary by 50% for lack of being able to preform his duties seems as though the KCRCC should take note and recommend someone else for assessor.

I see Bob Scott is running as a write-in, a tough road to go but Bela needs to go. Too bad so many valued employees of the Assessor’s Office were run off by Mr. Kovacs.
