Lasher, a junior forward from Lake City High, was named an honorable mention to the Big Sky Conference team on Monday. Lasher has started in 12 of 14 matches for the Vandals this fall, scoring four goals and recording four assists. Idaho (11-3-2) will face Montana on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament in Greeley, Colo.

Sharples, a junior from Post Falls High, set four season-best marks over the weekend at the Santa Cruz Invitational in California, finishing the 200-yard backstroke in 2 minutes, 23.40 seconds. Sharples also competed in the 50-yard backstroke (31.72 seconds), 50 freestyle (27.61) and 100 backstroke (1:09.01).

Ashley Kaufman

Central Washington volleyball

Kaufman, a junior outside hitter from Lake City High, was named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, the conference announced. Kaufman, also selected in 2020 and 2021, holds a 3.89 grade point average while studying Sports Management. Kaufman had a season-high 18 digs against visiting Western Washington last Saturday in Ellensburg.
