Economist, career consult to speak at NIC

COEUR d’ALENE — North Idaho College’s Career Services will host local and international economics and career experts for National Career Development Day on Nov. 16.

Economist Sam Wolkenhauer and career consultant Ann Nakaska will each present twice during the one-day seminar titled “Today’s Economic Challenges and Navigating Your Future.”

Wolkenhauer, labor economist with the Idaho Department of Labor, will discuss the causes of current economic stresses that local people are facing and look ahead to how the turmoil can be navigated. He will present at 10 a.m. via Zoom and at noon in the Lake Coeur d’Alene Room in the Edminster Student Union Building on the main campus in Coeur d’Alene.

Ann Nakaska, career consultant with Constructive Career and Life Designs, will discuss how people of all ages can prepare themselves for the opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution and align themselves with exciting new innovations in a variety of industries. Nakaska will present at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. via Zoom.
