Mark F. Milburn went home to be with the Lord after his long battle with cancer on Oct. 30, 2022, at Life Care Rehabilitation Center in Post Falls, Idaho. His final days were spent surrounded by his family.

Mark was born in Eugene, Ore., on Dec. 12, 1950, to Furman and Lela Milburn. Mark grew up moving from state to state as his father was a commercial artist and moved where he could find work. His mother ran a day care center.

Mark played baseball and football in high school and ran track. Mark was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan his whole life. In 1970, Mark moved from Oklahoma City, Okla., in his senior year of high school to Florence, Ore., where he met and married Janet, his loving wife of 51 years. They had two children, Steven and Nancy. Steven resides in Idaho and Nancy in Montana.

Mark worked as a millworker until 1980 and moved his family to Dallas, Texas, to attend Preston Road School of Preaching. He then moved his family to Oskaloosa, Iowa, where he was a minister for four years. One of his greatest joys in life was in teaching God’s word to others and making others laugh.

In 1986, Mark moved his family to Montana, where the mountains were calling him and his family. They loved the beauty of Montana and raised their two children there. When the economy took a turn, Mark and his wife moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where Mark worked for eight years at Idaho Forest Group in Chilco, Idaho. Mark settled in Rathdrum, Idaho, with his wife, where they purchased a home and he lived out the rest of his life.

Mark is survived by his wife, Janet, his two children, Steven and Nancy Milburn, and his two granddaughters, Azur Milburn and Lissa Rich. Mark’s smiles, bear hugs and warm heart will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

There will be a family memorial to celebrate Mark’s life. In place of flowers, the family asks that you honor Mark’s love for reaching out to others with a contribution to: Dalton Gardens Church of Christ, Mission Fund, 6439 N. Fourth St., Dalton Gardens, ID 83815.
