So who are the new state champions in the fall sports B-C world?

All the local teams who qualified made a good go of it, but all were eliminated along the way.

All but the football champs have been crowned and in the 8-Player title chase St. Ignatius remains in the hunt for a coveted State championship.

The Bulldogs put their hopes and dreams on the line this Saturday when they take on Belt from the Northern Division for top honors. A time and place for the championship game had not been announced as of Sunday.

Both teams come into the title game with 11-0 records.

In the 6-player title chase, Big Sandy will take on Broadview-Lavina, a co-op team from just north of Billings. That game will also be Saturday, time and location were not available Sunday.

In the six-player game, Big Sandy brings a 12-0 season record while Broadview-Lavina is also unbeaten at 11-0.

In Class B volleyball, it was an all-Billings area final in Bozeman, with Huntley Project sweeping Shepherd 3-0 for the championship. Huntley had beaten Shepherd earlier in the day before, but Shepherd, which advanced through the consolation round with a 3-0 win over Townsend, then met and beat Huntley in the first game of the championship finals.

That forced a tie-breaker since both teams had only one loss, and this time Huntley Project won 3-0 to claim the State title.

In the Class C championship match, perennial champ Manhattan Christian beat second-place Bridger 3-1 and 3-0 to win top honors.
