Lake Pend Oreille High School is pairing up with 43 Real Estate Group on a Thanksgiving turkey drive.

Holiday birds can be donated Friday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Super 1 Foods, 624 Larch St., Sandpoint.

"We are hoping to help the food bank secure the last 300 turkeys needed of their 1,000 turkey goal," LPOHS teacher Randy Wilhelm said. "But it doesn’t just have to be turkeys."

Wilhelm said the students are hoping to donate a variety of nonperishable food items to Bonner Community Food Bank.

For those who wish to donate, but are unable to make it to Super 1 Foods, Wilhelm said items can be dropped off at the food bank, 1707 Culvers Drive, Sandpoint with donations anytime this week.

"There are many families in need this holiday season," Wilhelm said.
