Fatality accident victims identified

SOAP LAKE - The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victims in a fatality accident on Road B Northwest just north of Road 18 Northwest Tuesday.
The driver of a Ford Ranger, Daniel A. Teigen, 45, of Soap Lake was killed when the vehicle left the road just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. His brother, Christopher A. Teigen, 43, also of Soap Lake was injured and transported to Columbia Basin Hospital, according to a GCSO statement.
MACC 911, Grant County fire districts 7 and 13, Grant County Public Works, the Ehrata Police Department, Grant Public Utility District and American Medical Response Grant County assisted GCSO in responding to the incident.
Icy conditions on the bridge going over the canal are cited as contributing factors in the accident which is still under investigation by GCSO.

Collision kills driver near Quincy
QUINCY — Adams Road near Quincy was closed for about three and a half hours Wednesday afternoon due to a collision between a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle. The car’s driver was killed in the crash. The collision occurred at about 12:45 p.m., according to a release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, between Road 5 Northwest and Road 6 Northwest. The driver’s name was withheld pending notification of family members, said Kyle Foreman, GCSO public information officer. The case is still under investigation.
