NIC ROUNDUP: Stacey powers Cardinals to sweep

COEUR d’ALENE — Freshman Rachael Stacey had 11 kills and eight digs for North Idaho College in a 25-23, 25-10, 25-15 win over Treasure Valley in a Northwest Athletic Conference match at Christianson Gymnasium on Saturday.
Abigail Neff, a sophomore from Lakeland High, had 18 assists and 10 digs, freshman Jessica Stires seven kills and six digs and sophomore Taylin Rowley — a Coeur d’Alene High product — 15 digs and six kills for NIC (16-3, 7-0 NWAC).
Brooklyn Minden, a freshman from Post Falls, had 12 digs for NIC, which travels to Yakima Valley on Friday.
Treasure Valley is 4-11, 3-4.

COEUR d’ALENE — Freshman goalkeeper Kaycee Chavez had five saves for the Cardinals, who played to a Northwest Athletic Conference draw with the Sasquatch at Eisenwinter Field.
Sophomore Claire Robbins scored an unassisted goal in the 10th minute for NIC to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead at halftime. Spokane’s Peyton Bastine scored on an assist from Carmen Flower in the 69th minute to even the score.
NIC (6-2-2, 4-1-2 NWAC) hosts Columbia Basin on Wednesday.
Spokane is 6-1-2, 5-1-1.
