An American, Karla Y. “Zimmer” Andersen, went to meet our Lord and Savior on September 29, 2022, after a courageous battle with her earthly body. She was constantly surrounded by loved ones up to her time of passing.

Karla had a full life when you parallel her time by the richness of the people she touched and chose to share this shortest of lives with. To name a few, her resolute husband Jim, her loving brother Kurt, a young man she chose to accept as her child that was not her own Matthew, so many amazing friends that she selected to raise above being just a friend to becoming part of her family.

Karla enjoyed the simplest of pleasures, gardening, shopping with friends, making jewelry, crossword puzzles, camping in the great northwest, and let us not forget our favorite quiet evening with family (friends) with a glass of wine in hand swapping stories and laughing at one another. She so loved this country and was proud to be a part of the great deplorables. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met and she will be missed until we meet up with her in eternity.

Services will be held at the Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. 4th Street in Coeur d Alene, Idaho on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 3:00pm.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
