NIC ELECTION: All three, Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman, are needed
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 years, 3 months AGO
We can’t afford for Todd Banducci to control NIC’s Board. He spent $200,000 of taxpayer money to fire President MacLennan and cost us $500,000 more in a lawsuit because MacLennan was doing a good job.
Banducci’s further reckless decisions put NIC’s accreditation under a warning sanction with NWCCU that remains today. He ignored directions from NWCCU defining the actions needed for NIC to move back into compliance with standards. Chief among these was hiring a qualified president at once. Banducci and his majority pretended not to hear this as they continually questioned the need to hire a new president. They still ask that question, and Banducci resists any efforts toward following NWCCU’s recommendations.
That recklessness resulted in NIC’s Foundation losing $4 million in donations for student scholarships, denying education opportunities to students most in need.
Pete Broschet, Tarie Zimmerman and Brad Corkill are the three candidates committed to restoring NIC’s accreditation, stability and supporting students. They will provide strong, independent conservative leadership.
It is vitally important that all three are elected to NIC’s board.
If one of them loses, Todd Banducci will once again control NIC’s board and our wallets.
