Fundraiser on Sunday for 18-month-old boy

POST FALLS — A fundraiser for a toddler battling illness is scheduled 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Art and Flow Studio, 205 E Seltice Way Suite A.
Karl was born five weeks early in January 2021 and required a liver transplant at 5 weeks old. After the transplant, it was discovered that Karl had heart defects as well as pulmonary vein stenosis, said a family friend.
He had open-heart surgery at 13 weeks old.
His primary care team is at Seattle Children's Hospital and the family travels there for appointments about once a month.
His mom, Brenda, stays home to care for him. Karl is fed via G-tube and requires several medications each day.
During Sunday's fundraiser, guests will paint rocks and wood decor for Halloween. All donations will go to Karl and his family.
