Maurice “Red” Stolley, 92

Maurice “Red” Stolley passed Oct. 8, 2022, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born in Moorhead, Iowa, on Nov. 22, 1929, to George and Donna Stolley. He lived in Hanford, Wash., in 1943, and moved to Otts Basin, Idaho, in 1944. Maurice joined the Navy in 1950 and was medically discharged in 1951. After serving in the Navy, he moved to Denver, Colo., in 1953, and that’s where Maurice met and married the love of his life, Carolyn Mitzle. Maurice and Carolyn moved to Round Lake in North Idaho for a short time before moving to their home in Coeur d’Alene in 1972, where some of Maurice’s favorite hobbies consisted of hunting and fishing.

Maurice is survived by his children, Mike (Linda) Stolley, Correen (Dick) Stauffer. He is survived by his grandchildren Eric, Wayne, Mark, Heather, David and Steven Stolley and Cody and Casey Stauffer.

Maurice is preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn Stolley.
