Moses Lake Cross Country hosts Big 9

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake High School Cross Country team hosted the Big 9 at Blue Heron Park Tuesday for their last league meet before districts.

The MLHS boys team took second in the meet to West Valley, while the MLHS girls team took third, behind West Valley and first place Wenatchee.

Districts are set for Oct. 27 at Franklin Park in Yakima.

Boys cross country results:

Senior Ethan LaBonte placed 4th with a time of 16:48.0

Sophomore Jonathan Roueche took 14th place with a time of 17:22.9

Senior Sam Elliott placed 15th with a time of 17:24.0

Sophomore Angel Verduzco placed 18th with a time of 17:33.5

Senior Logan Labonte took 24th with a time of 18:01.0

Junior Brodie Holland came in 25th with a time of 18:02.4

Freshman Sean Brumet took 26th place with a time of 18:07.4

Sophomore Niko Rimple placed 35th with a time of 18:44.9

Girls cross country results:

Senior Camryn Holterhoff finished in 8th place with a time of 20:29.1

Sophomore Rianne Nelson placed 15th with a time of 21:16.2

Senior Ashlee Scheel took 16th with a time of 21:23.5

Senior Marissa Bischoff placed 19th with a time of 21:53.0

Junior Sylvie Gephart came in 21st with a time of 22:00.0

Junior Ambar Salas took 30th place with a time of 23:15.8

Junior Katelynn Lustig took 35th with a time of 23:54.4

LA GRANDE, Ore. — Four Basin students were among 635 named to the Eastern Oregon University Dean’s List for the 2025 winter term, according to an announcement from the university. Qualifying students achieve and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework for the term.
