A six-session program on forest ecology, silviculture, forest health, wildlife habitat and other forestry topics is coming up in Post Falls.

The Forestry Shortcourse will be held Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. starting Nov. 1 in Room 302 at University of Idaho Research Park, 958 S. Lochsa St.

"Many Idaho forest landowners desire a better understanding of how forests grow and how they can better manage their forest property to meet their goals," a press release said.

The $38 registration fee includes forest stewardship resource materials.

Register by Oct. 25 at the University of Idaho Extension office in Kootenai County, 208-292-2525.

The program is eligible for seven Idaho pesticide recertification credits. For $120, teachers can also sign up for two University of Idaho credits for the program.
