Boys soccer faces fierce competition at state

TWINFALLS — Badger boys soccer faced fierce competition at the IHSAA 2022 3A boys soccer state championship ---- finishing 0-2.

As the #6 seed, the Badgers were pitted against the #3 seed and 2021 state champion Sugar-Salem. The Diggers won 6-3 against the Badgers and then defeated American Falls 4-0. They will compete for the state championship on Saturday.

Bonners Ferry went on to play McCall-Donnelly on Friday Oct. 21 and lost 1-0. Comparably, Intermountain League opponent Timberlake also went 0-2 in the state contest.

In 2021, the Badgers played at state and also went 0-2.

The Badgers finished the season 10-2 in conference and 15-4-2 overall.
