Kirby James Nixon, 66
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 3 years, 10 months AGO
Kirby passed away peacefully with family by his side on Oct. 17, 2022, at the age of 66 years.
He was born in Burns, Ore., on July 12, 1956, to Ted and Marilyn Nixon. They moved to Idaho when he was very young, and he grew up in the Coeur d'Alene area.
Kirby loved the outdoors. One of his favorite things was shooting trap and skeet with his dad and brother, Kerry. Hunting, fishing, camping and sitting around a campfire were the best. Welding and fabricating was his passion and it shined in his work. Very meticulous at everything he did, never in a hurry. In fact, he was that way with his life very laid back.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter Wendy; granddaughter Ashley; great-granddaughter Emma; son Jason; grandson Colton. His brother, Kerry; niece Nickole, nephew Rob; and great niece Emma.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn; father Ted; and nephew Bryce; they were very dear to him.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements are provided by Yates Funeral Home.
