COEUR d’ALENE — Teresa Ledezma scored on an assist from Addison McCulloch in the 13th minute for North Idaho College, which clinched a berth in the Northwest Athletic Conference playoffs with a 1-0 win over Walla Walla at Eisenwinter Field on Saturday.

NIC (12-2-3, 10-1-3 NWAC, 30 points) trails Spokane (11-2-2, 10-2-1, 31 points) for second in the East Region with one match remaining. The top three teams in each region qualify for the playoffs.

On Wednesday, NIC travels to Columbia Basin and Spokane hosts Walla Walla to conclude the regular season. Columbia Basin (14-0-1, 12-0-1) has clinched the East Region title.

Kaycee Chavez had five saves for NIC.

Walla Walla is 10-5-3, 7-5-2.

NIC (4-8-3, 3-5-3 NWAC, 12 points) will miss the playoffs after losing its last two matches.

Walla Walla (13-3-2, 7-3-1), which is in second place in the East Region, clinched a playoff berth with the win.

NIC will travel to Columbia Basin on Wednesday to conclude the season.
