On Nov. 8, I will be voting for Pete Broschet, Brad Corkill and Tarie Zimmerman for the NIC Board of Trustees. I have looked at all the candidates and these three checked all my boxes.

First, Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman are longtime residents of Kootenai County. The other three are recent transplants. I believe that NIC would best be served by trustees who are deeply grounded in our community.

Second, all three are conservatives. Corkill even served as the chair of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee from 2006-10.

Third, Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman have stated that they are committed to returning civility and professionalism to the NIC Board of Trustees. If you have watched any of the recent meetings you know how necessary this is.

So, three boxes checked. Longtime residents, conservatives, civil and professional. Vote Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman for NIC.
