Woman stabbed in Motel near CDA

COEUR d'ALENE — A Coeur d'Alene man has been taken into custody after he allegedly stabbed a woman Thursday afternoon.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office reports that on Oct. 27 at approximately 5 p.m., the 911 Communication Center received an emergency call from a female stating she had been stabbed by a male acquaintance at a motel on the 300 block of East Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

Personnel from KCSO, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, and Coeur d’Alene Fire Department responded to the area and discovered that the male had fled the scene.

Following a short search, Brandon White, 40, was located by Idaho State Police on 15th Street near Harrison Ave. in Coeur d'Alene and arrested without incident.

White is currently being held at the Kootenai County Jail for aggravated battery, a felony.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident and more information may be available at a later date.
