Selkirk firefighters will be at Super 1 Foods in Sandpoint on Saturday, hoping to "Fill the Boot" to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Crews will be at the store, 624 Larch St., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the annual fundraiser.

All funds raised go to support MDA for research, treatments and resources for families in need.

For almost 70 years, firefighters have stood on the front lines to help MDA raise critical funds to help transform the lives of kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases.

Funds raised through Selkirk Fire's Fill the Boot drive help the MDA save lives and lift those up in need, by providing the MDA with vital resources and support, including state-of-the-art support groups and Care Centers, including the MDA Care Center at St. Luke’s Hospital in Spokane.
