WHITE COMPANY LOCATES AT DOVER
The A.C. White Lumber company, whose sawmill, planing mill and frame factory were destroyed by fire at Laclede Aug. 17, has purchased the Dover Lumber co. sawmill. The mill will start as soon as belting can be placed on the machinery, probably in two weeks. A 1000 foot long unloading railway dock has already been started, from which logs brought in by rail will be dumped into the river adjacent to the slip. A dry kiln and new framing mill will be among the first structures put up. The matter of housing the employees is not yet definitely arranged, but it is possible some of the dwellings at Laclede may be moved to Dover.

UNIVERSITY LECTURES FOR SANDPOINT
An effort is being made by the Civic club and the chamber of commerce to obtain a university lecture course here. For several years University of Idaho faculty have conducted semi-popular lecture courses in several Idaho cities. Sandpoint has the opportunity to secure one of these courses this coming season, if the proper interest is taken. Cost of a 20-lecture course, two lectures to a visit, will be $350. Subjects covered will be Economics, Philosophy and Zoology.
