Coeur d'Alene police on Thursday credited citizens for helping track down three male juveniles in connection to fires at Bluegrass Park earlier this summer.

All three have been charged with third-degree arson, according to a press release.

A pair of July 29 fires caused an estimated several hundred dollars in damage to the park at 6071 N. Courcelles Parkway.

The first burned bark in the play area, along with the play structure, before police and fire personnel extinguished it.

A second fire that same morning was set in a trash can and was also quickly extinguished.

"During the investigation, detectives were contacted by citizens who provided video of the incident along with information about the identity of all three suspects," the press release said. "With this information, detectives contacted the juvenile males involved. Detectives were able to interview the males and all three confessed to their involvement."
