NIC SOCCER: Cardinal men draw with Spokane in conference opener

SPOKANE — Cooper Proctor, a sophomore from Coeur d’Alene High, had three saves for North Idaho College in a scoreless draw with the Community Colleges of Spokane on Saturday in the Northwest Athletic Conference opener for both at Spokane Falls Community College.

NIC (1-2-1) was limited to one shot on goal.

Gabe Bowlin-Stacy had one save for Spokane (0-1-1).

NIC travels to Blue Mountain of Pendleton, Ore., on Wednesday.

First half — none. Second half — none.

Shots on goal — NIC 1, CCS 3.

Saves — NIC, Cooper Proctor 3; CCS, Gabe Bowlin-Stacy 1, Vitor Gondim 0.

SPOKANE — Alexa Deatherage scored in the sixth minute for the Sasquatch in a win over the Cardinals in the Northwest Athletic Conference opener for both at Spokane Falls Community College.

Freshman Kaycee Chavez had six saves for NIC (2-2-0), which travels to Blue Mountain on Tuesday.

Spokane is 2-0-1.
