Pirates win home golf tourney

POLSON – The host Polson Pirates picked up another boys golf team win Monday morning firing a team score of 303 to win the 14-team PHS Pirate Invitational at the Polson Bay Golf Course.

Whitefish placed second with a team score of 310 and Hamilton finished third with a score of 316.

Polson Pirate Hunter Emerson shot a one over par 73 to finish third, while Christian Lund carded a sixth place 75 followed by Espn Fisher who tied for eighth place with a 77 and Carson Hupka who tied for tenth place with a 78.

Ashley Maki led the Lady Pirates with a 79, placing second individually. Teammates Kylee Seifert shot a fourth place 88 and Clare Konen tied for seventh place with a 93.

For the Ronan High School golf team, Alyssa Pretty On Top carded a top ten girls finish with a 98 to lead the Maidens, while Colter Cornwell was the top finisher for the Chiefs with a score of 85 tied for 21st.
