David Lynn Hathaway, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, in Boise, Idaho.
David was born on Dec. 22, 1949, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Lynn and Irma Hathaway. He was the eldest of six children and was raised in Bothell, Wash. He attended and graduated from Bothell high school in the late '60s where he was a state level wrestler. After high school he married his first wife Patty and they relocated to Moses Lake, Wash., where they raised three children: Mike, Sarah, and Rachel.
David enjoyed an extensive career in construction where he excelled at building homes, facilities, stores, and restaurants across Washington and Idaho.
He relocated to Rockford, Wash., in the late '80s and loved living in the country tending to his garden. His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, darts, piano, baking, gardening, and woodworking.
In retirement David enjoyed selling his vegetables and wooden bowls at the Farmers Market, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending time with his loved ones.
David lived a full and happy life and loved telling stories about hunting and camping trips with his family. He was happiest in the mountains and enjoyed the beauty of the rivers and peacefulness of the woods. He will be greatly missed by all.
David is survived by his mother, Irma; son, Mike and wife Priscilla; daughters Sarah, Rachel and husband Chris; three grandchildren, Rylee, Jared and Kaitlynn; brothers Ron and Timm; and sisters Mauna and Sherri.
He was preceded in death by his father Lynn and brother Mark.
