Veterans throughout the greater Spokane area are invited to Spokane County’s third-annual Veterans Stand Down and Resource Fair.
The fall event is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Salvation Army, 222 E. Indiana in Spokane.
Stand Downs provide opportunities for visitors to learn about housing services, legal services, food assistance, energy assistance, how to access VA benefits, employment readiness, health care service, education and suicide prevention. All of this information will be provided at no charge. Lunch will also be provided.
Other upcoming stand downs in the region include:
• Moses Lake, Sept. 24, Grant County Fairgrounds
• Libby, Mont., Oct. 1-2, Event Center
All events include an 8 a.m. opening ceremony.
