The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that encourages citizens to be informed and participate in local government. The League hosted three voting registration sites in Coeur d'Alene on Tuesday, Sept. 20, which is National Voter Registration Day, a nonpartisan civic holiday first observed in 2012 that celebrates American democracy. According to nationalvoterregistrationday.org, nearly 4.7 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date.
