I grew up in the Tri-Cities, Wash., and have always loved to write. I attended the University of Washington, where I earned a double major in journalism and political science, with an area of emphasis in history. I am the fifth out of six kids — don't believe any of the stories that my siblings tell. To be able to tell others stories and take photos for a living is a dream come true — and I considered myself blessed to be a community journalist. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking and spending time outdoors, genealogy, reading, and watching the UW Huskies and the Seattle Seahawks. I am a servant to my cat, Frankie, who yes, will eat anything and everything in sight … even wedding cookies. | September 25, 2022 1:00 AM

Eoin Eddy and Jett Longanecker scored and the visiting Bulldogs outshot the Bengals 21-0 en route to their ninth consecutive shutout in the Inland Empire League matchup at Walker Field.

While Sandpoint played with a high intensity and dominated the game, the Bulldogs only managed to put two goals in the back of the net.

"Missed chances and a lack of composure in the final third of the saw both teams walk away from a game that was much more one-sided than the scoreline suggests," assistant Sandpoint coach Dan Anderson said.

However, despite the missed opportunities, Anderson said the Bulldogs are playing well defensively. The Sandpoint player denied Lewiston a shot on goal, notching the Bulldogs' ninth consecutive shutout.

"I was happy with the work rate of the boys today," Anderson said. "We know we need to continue to work on our final product in front of goal, but the boys keep getting it done and continue to get results."

Kai Longanecker posted the shutout in goal for Sandpoint (8-0-2, 5-0-2), which plays host to Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday.

Lewiston is (1-4-0 IEL).
