A Hayden business that lost a building to fire this spring is springing back to life at the fire site.
"What matters most is how well you walk through the fire," said Dave Ballard, who owns Ballard Golf Cars and Power Sports with wife Christine. "Like the phoenix, we will rise from the ashes."
The building at 11494 N. Warren St. was consumed by flames the evening of April 12 after a fire broke out in the work bays where maintenance and repair equipment was kept. Ballard then shifted all business to the showroom across the street.
Ballard has begun construction to rebuild what was destroyed in the fire. To celebrate, the business is hosting a customer appreciation event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, featuring food and drinks, as well as sales on select machines and gear.
"We appreciate the support of our amazing team and outstanding community," Dave Ballard said.
