For the 13th season, Silverwood Theme Park will be transformed into Scarywood Haunted Nights. It opens tonight and continues throughout October.

Some 200 costumed characters will portray clowns, zombies, cannibals, ghouls and psychos wielding chain saws scattered throughout scare zones.

The theme is "Test Your Luck," but it's not advised.

There will also be some new frightening creatures, including Chuckles the Clown and "Hellbillies."

A "horror magic show," "Blood Bayou" and "Total Darkness" will be part of the nightmare.

Some of Silverwood rides, including Timber Terror roller coaster, will be open.

Scarywood is located in Athol, about 20 minutes north of Coeur d'Alene.
