COEUR d'ALENE - A fundraiser is underway to help the family of a man who died in a crash Monday.

The GoFundMe site has generated $13,613 for the wife and children of Wes Coffey, 36, Post Falls, who died when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a vehicle about 4 p.m. at Prairie Avenue and Cornerstone Drive.

Coffey and his wife, Rachel, had three children and she is about four months pregnant with their fourth child, according to the GoFundMe page.

Coffey's sister, Shea Coffey, wrote that while her brother was heading to the store to buy film for his Polaroid camera, he was hit on his motorcycle by a vehicle. He was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene.

"Money is the very last thing we want Rachel and her children to worry about so we hope this will help them begin to mourn this loss without the burden of finances," Shea Coffey wrote.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office said an investigation into the accident continues.
