AARP hosting McGrane for telephone town hall
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 2 years, 2 months AGO
Voter access, voter identification and ballot issues continue to make headlines in Idaho.
As such, Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane will join AARP Idaho for a statewide telephone town hall April 4 at noon MT to discuss these issues as well as other topics important to older Idahoans. AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel will moderate the call. All Idahoans are encouraged to participate in the town hall and ask questions.
“Election issues get the most attention, but Secretary McGrane’s obligations go beyond the ballot box,” Wissel said. “This conversation will address voter access, new requirements voters should know and other elections issues. It will also provide an overview of his office and its economic and administrative responsibilities to the citizens of Idaho. Our members are looking forward to the conversation and learning more about the duties of the Secretary of State.”
The statewide town hall is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, from 12 to 1 p.m. MT.
Participants can join by:
• dialing toll-free 866-767-0637 at the time of the call
• registering to be called in advance at https://vekeo.com/aarpidaho/

This is an interactive forum and participants are encouraged to call and speak directly with McGrane. Questions may also be submitted ahead of time via email at aarpid@aarp.org, or during the Facebook live conversation and on Twitter @AARPIdaho.
This call is open to everyone whether they are an AARP member or not.
