Why are some harassing sheriff's office?

I am very thankful for the peace and tranquility I enjoy living in Bonner County and credit our outstanding sheriff’s office for this blessing.
I was shocked when I saw Commissioner Luke Omodt vote to reduce the sheriff’s office property just as his mentor, Dan McDonald, tried to do.
Why is Commissioner Omodt bent on continuing the harassment of our sheriff’s office instead of strengthening it?
