Auditions tonight for new Masquers play

SOAP LAKE — Auditions are scheduled for 6:30 to 7 p.m. tonight for the latest Masquers Theater production, “The White Liars” and “The Black Comedy.” A Masquers press release said prospective actors who can’t make it Tuesday can submit video auditions.
“Each person will be doing cold reads during the auditions,” the press release said. ‘We encourage everyone to come and audition, whether you are an established actor or just starting out.”
The production opens June 2 and continues for three weekends through June 18.
The production is actually two one-act plays. “The White Liars” is the tale of a fortune teller who is bribed to help an agent who wants to mislead his rock-musician client, just a little.
“The Black Comedy” tells the tale of apartment-sitters who “borrow” furniture and artwork to impress a prospective client. Then the power goes out.
People who want to arrange a video audition can contact director Jesse Huntwork, jhuntwork2@gmail.com.
