Mixed Mini Pool League wraps up season

The Mixed Mini Pool League wrapped up its season recently and crowned its champions.

The mixed mini league plays on Sunday night and plays by ball-in-hand rules. Players must be over 21 years of age. The women's league plays on Monday night and the mixed league plays on Wednesday nights.

There are three generations of one family that has played - Georgia McGhee, Ronda Kair and Jon Ames - but they play on different teams.

The top shooters are Doug Combs and Wanda Lightner. Foxys was first in league play.

The final tournament was held April 1-2 and is played as a team event.

First went to Foxys, including Doug and Melanie Combs and Rich Brant. Second place was the team of Pastime 10, comprised of Rickie Fine, Jim Nickerson and Joey Diehl. In third was Mint 3, including Margi Carr, Ron Soete and Jon Ames.

For those interested in playing next season, a meeting will be held on the Sunday night after Ignite the Nights at 7:30 p.m. at the Mint Bar.
