The senior catcher, who has signed with NCAA Division II Western Oregon in Monmouth, Ore., sang the national anthem prior to Saturday’s doubleheader with Lewiston, then hit a pair of home runs in the first game to spark the Timberwolves to a sweep. “Hope is an all-around athlete; she is driven, a leader on the field, and has incredible knowledge of the game,” Lake City coach Jordyn Hensley said. “She’s an integral part of our team and there is no doubt — she is leaving a lasting legacy on our Lake City softball program.”
