Hazardous waste collection event set for Saturday in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE - Grant County has announced that there will be a household hazardous waste collection event near Moses Lake this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is for households only.

Common items that will be accepted include paints, stains, paint thinners, aerosols, gasoline, yard chemicals, fertilizers, motor oil, antifreeze, pool chemicals, corrosives, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent bulbs, tubes and other items.

Waste must be in containers that are five gallons or less and containers will not be returned.

This event is sponsored in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology and will be held at the Grant County Road District shop at 12171 Wheeler Road.
