SANDPOINT – The Bulldogs lost twice to Moscow on Tuesday, April 25 at War Memorial Field. The Bulldogs lost the first game 12-3 and the second game, 20-1.

In Game 1, Sandpoint struck first with an RBI groundout by Peyton Cessna in the bottom of the first inning, 1-0 Bulldogs.

In the fourth inning, Moscow was finally able to create some space by scoring four runs via a couple of doubles by Kaci Kiblen and Megan Highfill, 5-1 Bears.

The Bears put up another six runs in the top of the seventh to go up 12-1. Sandpoint attempted to rally in the bottom half of the inning, but would ultimately fall short after scoring two runs. Ali Knowles hit an RBI triple; Cessna then batted Knowles home on the very next at-bat to make it a 12-3 ball game.

Knowles led the Bulldogs with three hits and an RBI in Game 1.

In Game 2, Sandpoint found themselves down 14-1 after three innings of play. The lone run came from an inside the park home run to deep right field by Bella Crum.

The Bulldogs could not figure out opposing pitcher Allison Dorigo who pitched five complete innings on the mound giving up just two hits, one run, and recording six strikeouts. Ashlyn Darling was the only other Bulldog to record a hit in the contest.

Sandpoint (0-18) will be back in action for a doubleheader versus Coeur d’Alene on Thursday, April 27 at War Memorial Field.
