One person was sent to the hospital and others evaluated for injuries after a crash occurred Saturday at Pleasant View Road and Seltice Way in Post Falls.

Idaho State Police reported a 39-year-old male from Basin, Wyo., was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Seltice Way when he failed to stop at a red light at the Seltice and Pleasant View intersection. A Honda Odyssey van was traveling south on Pleasant View when it collided with the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance. The van was occupied by a 28-year-old male driver and three passengers — a 17-year-old male, a 5-year-old male and an 18-year-old female, all from Pasco, Wash. All occupants were wearing seat belts or proper child safety restraints and were assessed by medical personnel on scene.

The roadway was blocked for approximately four hours. Idaho State Police reported alcohol is believed to be a factor.
