Beckenhauer, a rising junior at Coeur d’Alene High, struck out five in five shutout innings for the 17U Lumbermen in a 10-0 win over JNS Baseball of Idaho Falls in Sunday’s state ‘A’ American Legion baseball championship game to advance to the Northwest Regional tournament starting Friday in Havre, Mont. “Will pitched an amazing game,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jim Allison said. “He really was hitting his spots and did a great job of keeping them off balance.”
