EPHRATA – The Ephrata School District announced that Lyndsy Roberts has been hired as the new head coach of the Ephrata cross country program on Monday.
Roberts has been an assistant coach with the team for the previous three years and is the head coach of the Ephrata Middle School track and field team.
“Coach Roberts has the experience and pedigree to be an excellent leader for our cross country program,” Ephrata Athletic Director Bryan Johnson said in the release. “We appreciate the positive and competitive culture that Coach Moore created in his tenure as head coach and we’re looking forward to seeing the great things Coach Roberts will do with this team next!”
Roberts takes over for Frank Moore, who stepped down from the position after coaching the Tigers for the previous six seasons.
“I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity,” said Roberts. “Ephrata has a strong tradition with cross country and I look forward to continuing the positive work that Coach Moore put in place. I can’t wait to get started with the upcoming season.”
