The motorcycle rider involved in a July 29 vehicle collision in Post Falls has died, Idaho State Police reported Monday.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Pleasant View Road and Seltice Way. The motorcyclist, a 39-year-old male from Basin, Wyo., was riding a Harley Davidson east on Seltice Way when he failed to stop at a red light at the Seltice and Pleasant View Road intersection. A Honda Odyssey van traveling south on Pleasant View Road collided with the motorcycle.

The rider was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance.

The van was occupied by a 28-year-old male driver and three passengers (17-year-old male, 5-year-old male, 18-year-old female), all from Pasco, Wash. All occupants were wearing seat belts or proper child safety restraints and were evaluated on scene by medical personnel.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision.
