Laying of blacktop has progressed to First and Church and will continue on down First to the end of the bridge. After First is completed, the project will march up Pine street to Sixth, the last link of the current job which has kept the city “torn up” most of the spring and summer.

The building [Note: in 2023, Sunshine Goldmine jewelry store] was purchased by the lodge from the Richfield Oil co., which plans to erect a modern service station on the corner of First and Lake [later the Panhandler Pies Restaurant]. The Moose lodge will continue to meet in the G.A.R. hall until the lodge home is ready.
