EPHRATA — In a brief statement, Ephrata School District Superintendent Tim Payne announced Friday that a district employee has been placed on administrative leave.

“The Ephrata School District has been made aware of a concern regarding an employee of the District. Out of an abundance of caution, and for the protection of all involved, the district has placed the employee on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation that will be conducted by Clear Risk Solutions,” Payne said.

The statement said that further comment was not possible as yet due to the issue being a personnel matter and the need to protect the integrity of the investigation.

It is unknown whether or not the issue is severe enough to involve law enforcement.

The Columbia Basin Herald will continue to follow this issue and will report additional information as it becomes available.
