MURRAY — Who will be crowned the "Molly B’Damn Queen?” You’ll have to find out by stopping by this swinging celebration during the Molly B'Damn and Goldrush Days today through Sunday.

Molly B’Damn was born with the name Maggie Hall and hailed from Dublin, Ireland, but she immortalized her name when she became a leading member of Murray as a "prostitute with a heart of gold" and the "Patron Saint of Murray."

Music kicks off the weekend’s activities and as part of the family friendly celebration, Teresa Musgrave, an event organizer, said that admission to the Murray Spragpole Museum is free all weekend.

Also on Saturday is the Dennis Funke Memorial Car Show.

Boasting ponies in the park for the kids, the event also takes to the air with helicopter rides available for a price throughout the day and live music in addition to contests and raffles. Funke passed away in 2016 and had a deep love of classic cars.

Watch for live music Friday night and a duck race Sunday at Eagle Creek.

“Everybody just come out and have fun,” Musgrave said.
